Jamie J Selected to Serve As New Executive Director of First Person Arts!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am so pleased to announce that as of January 3rd, 2012, I will be the new Executive Director of First Person Arts!

First Person Arts is a Philly-based non-profit whose mission is to “transform the drama of daily life into memoir and documentary.” We produce an annual festival of theatre, film, literature and much more, offer classes and workshops throughout the year, and StorySlams every month. This is really a wonderful organization, and I am so looking forward to leading it into its next amazing phase of growth. I will be taking the helm from Vicki Solot, the incredible Founder of the organization, who will be retiring in December.

MORE ABOUT FIRST PERSON ARTS
Celebrating its 10th anniversary of programming in 2011, First Person Arts believes that everyone has a story to tell and that sharing our stories connects us with each other and the world. First Person Arts presents and supports the development of memoir and documentary work by individuals at all levels of experience, from accomplished artists to everyday people. It provides a stage on which these stories can be heard through a variety of programs throughout the year, including twice-monthly StorySlams, writing and storytelling courses, and its annual First Person Arts Festival. Visit firstpersonarts.org to learn more.

Here’s to a great New Year!
